Four clear processing methods
Every active tool receives a processing profile from the registry so visitors can make an informed decision before entering data or opening a file.
Temporary server processing
The tool sends defined input to the application server for the requested operation. The tool page must disclose purpose, retention, and limits.
External AI processing
The submitted input is sent to the configured AI provider only for a disclosed AI operation. Avoid secrets and review provider terms.
Remote resource access
The tool contacts a remote resource selected by the user. Network and remote-service limitations apply.

What may use the server
Standard tool input is processed in the browser. These separate paths may involve a server, and each has a narrower purpose.
Optional account sync
Stores favorites, recent tool identifiers, interface preferences, and compatible draft metadata only when accounts and sync are enabled.
Contact messages
Sends the name, email address, and message a visitor chooses to submit to support. It is not a tool-processing path.
Analytics events
May record page or tool events and broad size ranges, but must not include pasted content, selected file contents, filenames, output, tokens, or API keys.
Optional AI or server tools
Use a distinct processing label and disclosure before content is submitted outside the browser.
