About this tool

About this tool

CSV Deduplicator removes duplicate records by hashing selected key columns and keeping the first occurrence, all inside your browser. You choose which columns define uniqueness and review duplicates before final output.

Find and remove duplicate CSV rows using complete rows or selected columns. Use the full-width workspace to remove duplicate records while reviewing rows, columns, headers, delimiters, and values. The tool accepts CSV, provides focused options, and creates CSV output that you can inspect, copy, download, or save as a local draft.

Built for daily work

  • Use CSV Duplicate Remover for data imports, spreadsheet cleanup, reporting, and database preparation.
  • Detect repeated values or rows using the selected matching rules before content is imported, published, committed, shared, or passed to another application.
  • Check a small sample interactively before applying the same operation to a larger tabular data workflow.
  • Prepare cleaner CSV output for teammates, clients, documentation, testing, or downstream automation.

Key features

Key features

Key column deduplication

Choose a specific column as the matching key so that only rows with duplicate values in that column are flagged, leaving rows that differ in the key untouched.

Full row comparison mode

When no key column is selected, the tool compares every field in each row and removes only exact duplicates, preserving rows that differ by even a single value.

Case sensitivity toggle

Enable case-sensitive matching to treat "Apple" and "apple" as distinct values, or disable it to group them together for deduplication.

Removal summary with counts

After processing, the report shows how many duplicate rows were found and removed, how many unique rows remain, and which key values appeared more than once.

No data leaves your browser

Deduplication runs locally. Your CSV content is never transmitted to or stored on any server.

Limitations and important notes

Limitations and important notes

  • Confirm which columns or case rules should define a duplicate before deleting records.
  • Large or deeply structured input depends on available browser memory and may process more slowly on mobile devices.
  • The tool implements practical browser-based processing and may not reproduce every feature of specialist desktop software or every vendor-specific extension.
  • Keep the original source and review generated output before production, security-sensitive, financial, legal, or safety-critical use.
