Know your recipients limits

Gmail allows 25 MB per message, counting encoded attachment size. Many corporate systems cap at 10 MB or less. When in doubt, aim for 5 MB or under, which clears nearly every server and opens quickly on mobile.

A compressed PDF at 3 to 8 MB is the sweet spot for business correspondence: comfortably under most limits and still high quality for text-based documents.
